And for a long time, it was a tedious process for me too.
With so many blogs, guides, and courses out there, it can get annoying sometimes to figure out where to start.
The good news?
You don’t need to pay for Courses, waste hundreds of hours scrolling through YouTube videos, and spending months to perfect your technique – as I did.

5 Tips To Create Social Media Content Faster
Tip #1: Plan ahead your social media content

When you plan your content in advance you’ll find it easier to execute.
Start with researching the type of content that your competitors and other industry leaders are sharing.
Then write down what type of posts you need to create. This step will make your content creation process faster.
Here are a few things to consider before creating social media content:
- Create a monthly editorial calendar
- Identify which days and times you’re going to post
- Identify 3-4 content pillars (or topics) you’re going to talk about
- Decide what images and videos you’ll need to shoot
- Decide whether you need to supplement your content with curated posts
- Do you have all the equipment, props and tools you need to create the content?
- Decide which social media scheduling tool you’re going to use

Tip #2: Batch create and edit content to save time
If you’re using images or videos from a photoshoot, make sure you don’t capture too much footage, as more content means more editing!
Be prepared to select a few photos (less than 30) that you can edit in batches.
Batch editing can mean many things.
- For example, you can import you photos into Lightroom and use a the same filter across all images.
- You can also batch create quotes and other graphics using Canva.
- For videos, you can reuse the same into and outro, and transitions to save more time.
- Writing the captions can also be done in batches
- Importing and scheduling content for the entire month in one go

Depending on the type of content you’re creating, working in batches can help you be more productive.

Tip #5: Maintain a library of stock images
You’re almost done editing but then you cannot find the right image or sound to add to your content.
Been there? I know how frustrating it can be!
My advice is to spend some time (1 day each month) researching stock footage and save it into a folder for future use.
Having a curated library of stock videos, music and images helps you create social media content faster. Instead of searching for songs and downloading them every time you edit a video, you can just open the music folder and find exactly what you need.
Conclusion:
Creating content for social media can be quite time-consuming – even for experienced creators.
